How To Make Paneer

Paneer, like cottage cheese, can be made quickly when it comes to cheeses. There is no sitting around waiting for the cheese to grow old. The best part of paneer is that it only requires three simple ingredinets of milk, water and lemon juice. When heat is applied to the mixture of milk, water and lemon juice, it forms curds. The curds are then separated from the whey liquid. This is a similar process as making cottage cheese, which usually uses rennet or vinegar to coagulate the milk to form curds. The home process of cottage cheese and paneer both routinely use a cheese cloth to drain the whey from the curds.

Paneer or cottage cheese are excellent cheeses to make if you are first starting because they are super easy to make. Additionally, they work well in many dishes or are great on their own.
